My daughter’s name is Mila and she is three years old. Now that she goes to preschool a few times a week, our slow pancake mornings are such a treat! We can soak in each other with zero rush of heading out the door to make it to school on time.
Having my kids help me in the kitchen is something I’ve been doing since they were just babies. I’d bring in them in while they cooed away in their high chairs. As they got older they started to really enjoy helping me out and cooking alongside me. The memories made in our kitchen are strong and I hope stay with my children forever.
We top our pancakes with soft butter, maple syrup, and of course powdered sugar. While we eat we talk about our day and the things we’d like to do. Mila will always ask to go on a walk with our pup, paint, or go to Disneyland. We live in a small house in Pasadena and each day is a treasure for us. I try to make the most of each day and turn our mundane tasks into adventures. I’m excited to give you a glimpse into our day and be here with one of our favorite clothing brands, Chaboukie!

Going about our day wearing Chaboukie gently reminds me how important it to make sustainable choices in other aspects of our life. I’ll be the first one to say it isn’t easy, but slowly making changes to our daily routine and what we purchase is a great start. The number one thing for us was to start making informed choices about the products we use and the things we were purchasing. Making sure we actually need the things we buy has helped us narrow down our waste, especially our food waste. As of now I only buy things we will use/eat within a few days. The other thing we are now focusing on is supporting brands and organizations that are dedicated to sustainability. Such as clothing brands like Chaboukie. Like I said, it is a small start but a strong one.
With that said, welcome to our home! You’ll be seeing us again soon as we have a special partnership with Chaboukie coming during the holiday season …
